Nanny

The person that you are going to trust with your children’s sole care has got to be a very special kind of person – trustworthy and kind, bringing stimulation and order to your children’s lives, and freedom and flexibility to yours.

Our nannies are all highly professional child carers who have a genuine interest and love for children and will provide an inspiring and positive learning environment in the safety of your home. They will also take your children to various activities and on exciting days out.

They will have gained childcare qualifications or have had several years’ relevant experience working with young children.

We listen attentively to what our clients and nannies are looking for and take extra care in our interviewing and selection process.

We offer our families a free trial period where they are able to see their nanny in the role and can experience first hand the chemistry between the nanny and their children.

There are a number of different nanny options for you to think about – you may want to combine some of the options below:

Full-time Nannies are highly experienced, often childcare-qualified child carers who  typically work 9 to 12 hours per day, 5 days per week, focusing purely on child-related duties.  They take sole charge of children from new-born babies to school age children and are able to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.  Nannies take responsibility for driving the children to/from playgroups, school/nursery and various activities. They take control of arranging play-dates and the children’s social schedule.  Full-time nannies have the experience to help children with homework, prepare fresh nutritious meals and manage all the children’s laundry and ironing.

Live-in Nannies are always in high demand! They work between 8 and 12 hours per day, five days per week and are able to offer busy families lots of flexibility with their working hours and during school holidays. Live-in nannies are often required to babysit up to 2 x per week (not every Saturday evening) included in the salary.  A live-in nanny is provided with all meals, their own bedroom and where possible the use of a private bathroom.

Part-time Nannies typically work between 10-12 hours per day for one, two, three or four days per week. They may work only mornings or they may be after school nannies who work 4-5 hours per day when children finish school.

Nanny share - Families share the cost of employing a nanny while nannies benefit from earning more money. We don’t generally match families up but we can guide you through the process of hiring a nanny to share with your friends.

Nanny for Twins - One of our founders, Simone, is a mum of twins so understands exactly what is involved.  Homebodies will be able to source the best nanny to help with twins or multiples. These applicants can be live-in or live-out, full-time or part-time.

Nanny/Housekeepers are often the perfect solution when you are looking for someone to cover these different roles. How you decide to split the ratio in terms of their focus either on children or on the housekeeping is up to you, and the nanny/housekeeper may live in or live out and work full-time or part-time.
